Doctors’ Radiology Centre is a premium outpatient service provider for radiological investigations for more than thirty years. It is situated in the heart of Port of Spain at 70 Pembroke Street and is a stand alone facility for all the radiological investigations, including digital plain x-rays, fluoroscopic examinations, digital mammograms, bone densitometry and ultra sounds including the Doppler studies.

This new machine The Digital Mammomat Inspiron from Siemens is the latest in a line of state-of-the-art medical equipment that has helped to keep Doctors’ Radiology Centre at the cutting edge of medical technology.

The immediate benefit to the patient is speed. Images are now ready instantly, and the technician will know they have the shots they need right away, allowing the patient to skip the ten-minute wait they used to have while film was developed. The 25-minute process is now reduced to about 12 minutes.

A bone density test determines if you have osteoporosis — a disease that causes bones to become more fragile and more likely to break. In the past, osteoporosis could be detected only after you broke a bone. By that time, however, your bones could be quite weak. A bone density test makes it possible to know your risk of breaking bones before the fact.A bone density test uses X-rays to measure how many grams of calcium and other bone minerals are packed into a segment of bone. The bones that are most commonly tested are located in the spine, hip and forearm.

BMD and IVA are both powered by an exclusive OnePass linear fan-beam technology improving the accuracy, speed and convenience of assessing osteoporosis.
