Discharge Procedures

When you have fully recovered, your doctor will inform you, at least one day in advance, of your coming discharge from St. Clair Medical Centre. In accordance with the policy, we ask you to depart before 1:00pm, on the day of your official discharge. Patients who stay in their rooms after 1:00pm will incur a charge for an additional day.

The discharge process has been made more convenient. You, a relative, or a friend can complete the discharge process with our staff.

Payments are usually completed at the Main Cashier’s kiosk, located on the Ground Floor where you or one of your relatives will pay your bill in total and complete discharge formalities. If you so desire, we can arrange for you to make the payment and complete your discharge in the ward.

If your insurance company has guaranteed your medical expenses, you will still need to check out at the Main Cashier, to approve your charges and to sign your bill. Thank you.
