Our approach is patient-care centred. Our nurses are compassionate, well trained and provide comprehensive care to each patient.
“It’s in moments when you first meet a patient in a near death state and later see them after treatment, recovered in such a manner, that ‘miracle’ is the only way to describe it… those are the moments that you recognize your importance as a nurse…” Nurses play a vital role in improving the safety and quality of patient care in the hospital or ambulatory treatment facility, by utilizing techniques and interventions to enhance patient outcomes. St Clair Medical Centre is committed to providing every patient with superior nursing care. Nursing and Post-Operative Care are a vital part of the recovery process after surgery.
The registered nurses and nursing assistants have been trained in modern patient care techniques to ensure that our team stays abreast with the advancements in treatment and care. Internal Training Programmes are convened by Head Nurses, specialists, doctors, managers, therapists, health and safety officers who convey new knowledge and techniques for administering optimal care for patients.
Additionally, the nursing staff at St. Clair Medical utilize nursing care plans as a means of providing direction for individualized care of the patient. A care plan flows from each patient’s diagnosis and should be organized according to the individual’s specific needs. Nurses use these care plans to ensure continuity of care during the patient’s stay at the hospital. The care plan is also a means of communicating the action and changes in the patient’s needs during the shift. The care plan specifically outlines treatment and nursing actions that must be carried out. Additionally, they serve as a guide for assigning staff to care for the patient since there may be aspects of the patient’s care that need to be assigned to team members with specific skills.
Our nursing teams are deployed in shifts to ensure continuous assistance to both patients and doctors. As a further reassurance, Nursing Supervisors and Team Leaders are available to guarantee that continuous quality care is provided.
